As a Board Certified Orofacial Pain Specialist and a Board Certified Sleep Dentist, Dr. Phillips has focused the scope of her practice on treating sleep breathing disorders (OSA and snoring) and TMD for the last 12 years. She has treated thousands of patients and delivered over 5000 appliances. Working together with the patient’s sleep physician, she can effectively treat patients with mild to moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnea and those patients that are non-compliant or intolerant to CPAP. Dr. Phillips lectures nationally regarding Mandibular Advancement Devices and combination therapy and shares credit in writing the formal definition of an Effective Oral Appliance published in the Journal of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Phillips says, “There is a direct relationship between sleep-disordered breathing, TMD, and chronic pain disorders. Working within this field allows me to work with patients, their physicians, and general dentists in a collaborative environment and provide patient-centered care. Helping my patients by relieving their pain, addressing headaches, and improving sleep quality is my primary goal.”

In her free time, Dr. Phillips enjoys spending time with her husband, Jon, and their two fur babies, Mia and Abby, traveling to any place with a beach and visiting her family in Michigan.
